One team, one clear goal.
Optivice – founded in Zurich in 2025, around an idea we've carried for years: exam planning can be better than a spreadsheet.
What we do
Optivice replaces cluttered spreadsheets and manual coordination with state-of-the-art algorithms. The result: weeks become hours, gut feeling becomes KPIs.
Optivice develops and runs intelligent optimization systems for complex planning tasks. Our focus is on automating and mathematically solving time-consuming, error-prone, and constraint-heavy processes for educational institutions and companies.
While our first core solution is Optivice Exams for exam scheduling, we design and develop custom solutions for timetables, shifts, and resource allocation upon request.
The founders
Owners and management in one – every one of us is reachable directly.

Fabian Germann
Lead AI Engineer
MSc Engineering Data Science, OST Ostschweizer Fachhochschule
As Lead AI Engineer, Fabian drives AI innovation at Optivice. Leveraging his deep background in machine learning, data engineering, and modern data architectures, he translates complex mathematical models into user-friendly software. When he isn't busy optimizing algorithms, he seeks out challenges on the rock – climbing and mountaineering.

Raphael Jenni
Lead IT Engineer
MSc Engineering Computer Science, OST Ostschweizer Fachhochschule
Raphael leads the technical development of Optivice Exams, drawing on deep software and platform engineering experience. The foundation was his award-winning bachelor's thesis at OST, which automated the university's exam scheduling and became the seed of our product. Off the clock, he channels his creative energy into the theatre, musicals, or solving routes on the bouldering wall.

Christophor Jenni
Lead Business Developer
MA Business and Economics (Lic. oec. publ.), UZH Universität Zürich

As a self-declared “non-techie with a flair for IT”, he bridges technology and business value. He maintains his strategic focus by catching strong winds on a sailboat or carving down the alpine ski slopes.
Optivice Team
We don't want to "disrupt the industry". We want you to come out of an exam session less drained – and for the students to get fair plans. That's really it.
If that sounds right, write to us. We'll answer in person.
